The Wire Locations

Google earth KML file of notable places from HBO's The Wire.

Although many places are clearly and closely tied to actual locations this being a work of fiction it's hard to put exact locations on many places - some are obviously made up and plenty more of the filming locations don't match the given locations. Still, I've done my best to locate things based on locations given during the show and make a best guess at some others.

The free zones were a good example of the problems with compiling this. I've taken the locations from the maps shown at District and Comstat breifings but one of these covers a cemetary! I've also taken the filming location from that given by Art Director, Vince Peranio, which is halway across town.
